About Me
Hello! 👋 I’m Jay Modi.
I’m an IT professional (Computer Engineer) by day, but a "Bug Hunter" and adventurer by heart. I live in Ahmedabad, a city famous for its heritage and food.
I describe myself as a degree collector and a full-time foodie. I’m not the guy with six-pack abs—more like six snacks packed! I believe the best way to understand a city is through its street food and the stories of its people.
I’m a soft-hearted techie who loves long bike trips, watching anime/movies, and having deep conversations over tea. I’m easy-going and respectful. I believe the best connections aren't planned—they just happen organically. I love meeting people from all walks of life, all ages, and all cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet travelers from different walks of life and help them explore my state. I love sharing the famous Gujarati hospitality and making new friends over good food and conversation.
Interests
I am passionate about long bike rides 🏍️ to explore hidden gems in Gujarat. I’m a huge foodie who loves hunting for the best street food. I’m also into gaming, web development, and watching Anime or movies like Ford vs Ferrari.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Ford vs Ferrari, 3 Idiots, Marvel Movies, and Bollywood classics.
Anime: Big fan! (Always happy to discuss recommendations).
Music: Soft rock for bike rides and Lofi beats for coding.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Riding my bike all the way to the Koteshwar Temple. Watching the sunset there after a long journey without GPS was an unforgettable adventure!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some basic Gujarati phrases or help with anything related to Web Development/IT.
Share: I’d love to share a cup of authentic Ahmedabad Chai ☕, show you the best local food spots that aren't on Google, or take you for a bike ride around the city.
I want to listen to your travel stories and learn about your culture and life experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer an authentic local experience of Ahmedabad! I’m happy to show you the best street food spots (that aren't on Google), share stories over chai, and help you navigate the city. I can also help with any tech/IT issues you might have. I may be a student, but I'm rich in stories and local tips!
