Overview
About Me
I'm an American student living in Japan and studying to become a Japanese translator. I'm also aspiring to start my own travel show!
Right now I'm on a cross-country hike to fundraise for suicide prevention, a cause close to me personally.
I love to meet different people and learn about their world and how they see it. Hearing others' perspectives is interesting! I also like to really experience a place when I'm traveling- living like a local, for instance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Primarily to meet interesting people as I travel the world! And to save some money in the process to be frank.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love foreign music, no matter the language! In English, I prefer oldies, soul, reggae. I don't watch television nor movies much. My absolute favorite book is without a doubt, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Camped for a week in -40 degree cold when I lived in Alaska.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about linguistics~
I like to learn anything and everything! But I especially like learning about new places and new peoples. And languages of course.
For a while I was learning salsa dancing, but alas I'm not very good haha... (maybe bachata amd merengue are more my style)... I'll pick it back up though!
Share with me your stories! I love storytelling!
