Overview
About Me
I have a passion for traveling, discovering new places, food, books, learning and sharing. I've had the good fortune of working in the foodservice industry for a number of years and it has allowed me to have an understanding and appreciation for the demands, delights and challenges of this field. I worked for a cheese store where we had 400+ kinds of cheese, and I worked at a place where guests and staff were flown in to a private island.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend had mentioned it, and my interest was piqued! I'm free in the weekends, and I look forward to hosting and showing my city to future guests!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a flying "orientation" and paid the instructor an extra $50 to let me have control of the small two seater aircraft by myself. I did a couple of dives and swoops and turns, nothing too spectacular, but it was just so awesome! I couldn't be too sure, but I think the instructor turned green.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy sharing the love for the written word and discussing history, philosophy, biographies, architecture, and food!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy scoping out the food specialties of the place I'm visiting. I enjoy sharing food with friends and discovering new places that have yet to be talked about. I make it a point to bring a souvenir from my place of origin, and of course, first lunch/dinner, is on me.
