Overview
About Me
I'm trying to work with a little money as possible. I'm a massage therapist, but I'd love to be able to survive on the kindness of like-minded people, without charging a flat rate for my services.
My massages are of a style that is either new, or a style that has been forgotten... but the technique I use is gentle, increases one's body awareness, and taps into our bodies' innate healing abilities.
But yeah, it feels really positive in my body to help others feel more comfortable in theirs, and me getting paid to do something I'd be glad to do for free seems inconsistent with my beliefs.
I'm planning on living out of my car, but I may catch a night or two on couchsurfer should the going get tough.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm gonna be driving around, not knowing if I'll find a safe place to set up a tent... so I figure that couchsurfing might be really helpful as a safety net... if I'm in a scary seeming place, I figure a couch surfer might be able to offer me refuge.
Interests
I'm actively working towards facilitating a shift in human consciousness, resulting in love as the new base state (over fear), and resulting in world peace. I don't have a projected timeline for when this goal will be accomplished... but I'm gonna just keep working on it until it happens.
That said, I'm interested in virtually everything. Body work especially... But I'm really into people... finding out why we are the way we are. I love hearing people's stories :)
I like nature-y things, and board games, and singing, and dancing, and figuring out how best to heal the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Just copied from my OKcupid profile:
music I've enjoyed and appreciated:
air, animal collective, beatles, beck, blackalicious, bob dylan, bobby mcferrin, bonobo, coldplay, daft punk, fleet foxes, g love and special sauce, gnarls barkley, iron and wine, kenna, kruder & dorfmeister, lemon jelly, modest mouse, mumford and sons, neil diamond, nick drake, of montreal, outkast, prodigy, red hot chili peppers, shpongle, sigur ros, sufjan stevens, the books, the flaming lips, the roots, why?
...and I love so much that I haven't yet heard...
Thick harmonies often give me goosebumps, clever lyrics make me smile and think, and I love getting down to some body-rockin beats. I'll give any music a chance, and enjoy most of it.
Matrix, Boyhood, Garden State, Being John Malkovich, Peaceful Warrior, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls... Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino movies also.
Authors I've read that have especially helped to shape my worldview: David Foster Wallace, Jack Kerouac, Tom Robbins, Kurt Vonnegut
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm actively working to facilitate the end to human suffering... I think that's pretty cool. But I thru-hiked 800 miles of the Appalachian Trail before, walking from West Virginia up through New Hampshire.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've learned that a person's feelings, are never good or bad or right or wrong.
I also learned that a feeling, by definition, is felt in the body. So if you think you're feeling something, but you can't physically locate where in your body you're feeling it, then it's literally all in your head.
Love is:
1) Complete acceptance.
2) Warmth.
3) Always willing to help when helping does not imply sacrificing one's well being.
Love is best when used as a verb... using any of the 3 criteria above, independently, is still an example of behaving lovingly.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My love, as outlined above.
As I'm always willing to help those I love, I'd be glad to help with any chore or undone task I'd be able to.
My willingness to help extends to helping people feel more comfortable in their bodies, and I can offer to share my body work (licensed massage therapist) with any interested host.
I can be an open listener and provide a non-judgmental, compassionate ear, should my host want to vent about some issue in their life, as I genuinely care.
I was once an award winning camp counselor, and can entertain your kids, and would do so gladly.
I have a lot to share, virtually an infinite amount... so I'll stop typing them now... but if you have any special requests, feel free to message me.
