About Me

Hey, I am Jay. A 26 year old from Sydney. The last 5 years I have been lucky enough to do some travelling around the world. My solo travels started with a 6 week snowboarding trip through Canada, Colorado, Utah also visiting Nevada and Arizona.

Afterwards flying to Colombia to start a 7 month trip north to Mexico... (amazing)
Returning home with no money and the travel bug big time. I saved my pennies again and decided on going to see some of what South East Asia had to offer. It was a 4 month trip, riding motorbikes through Vietnam and Cambodia, surfing through some of the Phillipines with good friends. Visiting some other countries along the way it was a very special trip, with quite a few places holding a place in my heart forever.

Once again returning home wanting to see more of the world, I put my head down for a while and saved my pennies once again. Originally it was a 12 month trip abroad, 6 months in a Canadian ski village and 6 months in South America. Canada turned into 3 months before I learnt that long term cold weather was not my thing. Flew down to Panama at the end of 2018 to surf over Christmas and New Years on my way to starting my South American adventure.

2019 so far has been a year I will never ever forget, through doing a lot of volunteer hours in Colombia and Peru it has allowed me to have some money remaining to make the spontaneous decison on going to Europe for the first time on my way back to Sydney.

I grew up surfing and playing football avidly leading me to a healthy and active upbringing with great support from family. I am an electrician by trade which has allowed me to save my money to travel as much as I have been able to. Travel has taught me a lot about the world. Respect and appreciation are the first words that come to mind. The people I have met and shared memories with have put a smile on my face too many times to count.

Anyway, I am on my way to Europe and I am looking forward to sharing more experiences with you and keeping the smiles flowing!
