About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Home once more. Espero que practicar mi español mas... Work and save for more travels :) Host when i can. And maybe learn the guitar, if i have time.

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty chilled out guy living in Perth. I live with my partner who is also a CS (Chad Hymus on here) so send either of us a request, all good. We try to live as ethically and as sustainably as possible. We are not so much party animals but if that's your scene we should be able to point you in the right direction. Saying that we aren't opposed to an alcoholic drink or 10 on occasion.

I like to keep active, both mentally and physically, though im not fanatical about either (lifes too short for fanaticism). Love to get out into nature and do some trekking and bushwalking. I'm passionate about select topics (animal welfare, conservation and sustainability for example) and pretty laid back with all the rest. Love meeting new people to gain an extra perspective on life. I'm vegan but It doesn't bother me if CSers cook meat in the house.

Hmmmm i think thats it for now.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem.

"“Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." Mark Twain quote

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to host people while living in one location. I do work away occasionally however and the surfers unfortunately have to fit in with my work schedule.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted a few awesome people so far and looking forward to both hosting and surfing.

Interests

I'm a naturalist and enjoy trekking and camping. I work with wildlife and love it!

Into self development, education, gardening and most recently trying to renovate my place in Perth, Western Australia.

Obviously i love travel, like everyone else on CS, and my travel destinations seem more and more those places less frequented. Thats not to say i don't enjoy a nice break away in Bali or somewhere as equally touristy though occasionally.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ok.. the nerdy side shines through here. Love fantasy novels, sci-fi movies and brainless action. Its not often i feel like sitting down and watching or reading so when i do its generally because i don't feel like thinking :)

Varied and eclectic musical tastes. Mostly avoiding heavy electronic and honky tonk country music though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snow covered Cappadocia, Turkey. Hardly any people so awesome.
Catching bats for a couple of months in the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve in Mexico.
SCUBA diving off Flores, Indonesia and Komodo dragons also.
SCUBA diving around and visiting the Galapagos Islands.
Loy Krathong celebrations in Northern Thailand.
Mardi Gras in Sydney!
Trekking in Peru and Argentina.
