Hello, my name is Jaya. For the past 10 years I have lived at and associated with many intentional communities. The communities have ranged from ashrams to eco-villages, to hippie communes. I am very much a community oriented person and I'm excited about getting to know the Couchsurfing community.

I am 39 years old and engaged to be married to my wonderfully beautiful soulmate who lives in Melbourne, Australia. I'm easy going and try to remain grounded. As an Earthling, I enjoy everything in nature where life. to me, makes most sense.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and make friendly connections. Also to get reintroduced to the city areas.
Being a violinist for about 30 years, I am wanting to give busking a go in the areas of Pittsburgh, PA and Columbus, OH and also Cleveland, OH.

Kayaked about 120 miles of the Potomac River on a 25 day sojourn.

I view everyone to be a guru, on some level, because I have learned something from everyone I've met. As to teaching, if somebody expresses interest, I love to share what I have learned in community settings such as nonviolent communication, meeting facilitation, consensus processes, conflict resolution and other social dynamics for open communication.
