Обо мне

I am an aspiring filmmaker from Lucknow, currently based in Mumbai working as an assistant director.
I love to observe people, different cultures, cuisines, the relationship between built form and the surroundings.
I love to cook and I like to explore new cuisines and would love to learn to cook as many of them.
I am a good listener so I like to hear stories, conversations about spirituality, culture etc.. and for me what is fascinating is the details people put into their stories. it is something that belongs to you, a craft you are born with.

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

REGRET. I have lived a life full of regrets and goes to sleep every night thinking about what could have, should have, would have!!! I was not happy. I asked myself what is the thing that is keeping me from being happy? and I realised that it is the belief that I am alone and I don't want that. so, I have set out to make amends with my loneliness. I am going to meet new people, make lots of new friends. travel around India first and then the world, one day. hence, Couchsurfing. now, I look forward to a lot of travel, meet new people and discover their places through them like a local, not like a zombie-tourist.

In the past few years, I have learnt that the world is really small and one must meet new people constantly. and I believe that this world is one big family.
It not only teaches you new things about a place, culture or the person, but you also discover new things about yourself. It's a path to self-discovery.

Музыка, кино и книги

It's shorter to list what I don't like... ;-) I don't watch horror, excessive gore, or crude humour. For music, I generally enjoy anything that feeds me emotionally. Exceptions are songs where people are put down, belittled, objectified, or marginalised. Angry-sounding music doesn't appeal to me much, but I'm generally open to most genres and styles. generally, I can read fiction, for pleasure, but have been caught with philosophy or science fiction/fantasy. But I'm very open to reading just about anything for discussion purposes.

Overall, I avoid what degrades or corrodes my spirit, or robs my energy, and I pursue what feeds my soul, nourishes, or inspires me.

Классная вещь, которую я сделал(-а)

the most humane thing that I did was saving lives of stray dogs in my Lucknow's defence colony in the 2014's winters. lots of dogs give birth to puppies during winters and newborns are really vulnerable to chilly nights of winters. as one night, I and my friend were strolling around late in the colony, we noticed a stray was lying between the railing of colony's kids park and not moving, we got worried and went straight to him and checked if he was alive. his heart was hardly beating and saliva was coming out of his mouth. i immediately picked the dog kept it close to my chest and started rubbing him, while my friend started a bonfire and brought a mat from his home and then we kept the dog next to bonfire and started rubbing him vigorously and tried to provide as much heat as possible to him. after keeping him warm for at least an hour, he got back into his sense. then only we breathed a sigh of relief and that night, I took that dog home with me and remain by his side whole night. while by his side, I decided that I wouldn't let these little paws go like this. then, I along with my friend made a proper place for my colony's dog where they aren't vulnerable to the wind, rain and chilly nights and took their responsibility for the whole winter season and made sure that they will all be alive, fully nourished and healthy by the end of winter. now most of them have grown to be big paws are friends with my german shepherd. they are such a lovely pack and treat to watch. whenever I see them, I find it pretty amazing that I have will to go to such lengths to make things better that bothers me. whenever I am low, I imagine their faces and derive my inspiration from them and the past me.

Учу, учусь, делюсь опытом и информацией

I believe diversity is essential. I've learned the most from those most unlike me. I'm convinced we eventually discover what we seek (good or bad) but I choose to be optimistic. I'm here to learn. I have always believed that everyone I meet, everything I do is a lesson, is a chapter in my life, which always teaches me something new. there's so much you can teach me. Maybe I have something to offer you as well. My primary interests and expertise would include the items listed in my "interests" above. I travel to LEARN anything anyone wants to share... I'm a listener. Show me some incredible places near you and I would love to cook mutton rogan josh for you as a thank you :)

Чем я могу поделиться с хостами

I enjoy discussing humanity and history, probing philosophy and nature. I want to experience my India from another perspective, and I am truly happy to offer my view in exchange. I'm clean and tidy, and LOVE to eat, but also would like to help you cook and then clean up after. I can offer conversation and or quiet company, and I hope to leave having expands who I am by learning who you are.
