About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience life, learn, create and have a damn good time.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Salem, Oregon in the States. As a boy I attended a school with a population of over 50% hispanic. As a result I developed a strong connection to cultures different than my own. I suppose one could say I'm an aspiring artist, but I'm still in the process of figuring out what this means. I love all forms of artistic expression. I myself paint, photograph, sing and write.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to let what does not matter truly slide. I am more concerned with living life than making grand plans for it. I live for my artwork and the joy of relationships and experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am interested in too many musical forces to list them all here but to name a few I love the Rolling Stones, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Billie Holiday, Led Zeppelin and Tom Waits. As far as movies, a few of my favorites are 400 Blows, Fight Club, Into the Wild, Cyrano de Bergerac and the Departed. I will exult a few authors as opposed to specific books; Hunter S. Thompson, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Hemmingway and Charles Bukowski.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2008 I went with my Mexican godbrother to visit his family in rural Mexico, specifically the Sierra Madre in Durango. I spent two weeks staying in small houses in a traditional pueblos. It was like going back to the hay day of the agrarian life style. The majority of the male villagers carried pistols as nonchalantly as blue jeans. The trip gave me a glimpse of the old Mexico of chivalry, incorrigible tradition and revolution.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach basic skills involved in representational painting and singing. Not exactly practical information, but apropos a favorite quote of mine by an author who's name escapes me is to this effect: "art is not necessary in life, but what a sad life it would be." I would love to learn how to navigate with traditional and modern methods and how to sail.
