Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people from around the world by staying in hostels and doing sightseeing on your own is great, but getting a local's perspective makes a unique cultural experience and should be a big part of seeing a country as well....

The best way to travel according to me: do not be limited to beautiful landscapes and monuments and when I think of couchsurfing, I don't think of "staying for free in some strangers place". I think of the many people I get to know. The locals , their lifestyle, their personal philosophy, their culture, their hobbies and especially their food! I'm always curious about the Nightlife wherever i go too !! ^^.... so i won't hesitate for a second if there's a good DJ, a gig or a good concert in the area!!

The Next "big plus" of this super community, is that you can see the "hidden" corners of places and cities which you would never see as a "normal" foreign tourist.... and i'm totaly seeking for this kind of experience!!.... ^^

I'm also always trying to discover new art designs and work of street art in each town where i'm off to....

To sum up:
Enjoying Life, discovering the more i can from everything, from everyone !

I love Kevin Spacey, Tom Hanks, Jim Carrey, Jack Nicholson, Denzel Washington, De Niro, Samuel L. Jackson, Keanu Reeves, Johnny depp, Jared Leto, Morgan Freeman, Mark Dacascos, Liam Neeson, Forest Whitaker....... Scarlett Johansson , Jessica Alba are DELICIOUS!! .... & Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Adam Sandler, Leslie Nielsen, Ben Stiller, Sacha Baron Cohen & Jack Black: different styles of humor, but all are SO funny. ^^

Depends in what kind of mood I am in but among my 1000 favourite movies i put surely "Big Fish", " Donnie Darko" , "Ghost Dog", "OldBoy", "Fight Club", "Snatch", "Forrest Gump", "MATRIX", "Memento", "ZombieLand", "SlumDog Millionaire", "Sin City", "Interstellar", "Shawn of the dead", "Upside Down", Requiem for a dream", "Farnheit 9-11", " Alabama Monroe", "The butterfly effect"...( just to mention some of the thousands movies that I love).
I also love British cinema in general and English humor.

I don't really like watching TV anymore since a while but i rather appreciate some great TV Shows chosen on internet instead, and the list is HUGE !!

Growing up in Germany was a chance, and living in Berlin a few years was amazing.

* Recently spent an amazing time alone for my last B-Day in Cartagena (Colombia) and finished this one in a crystal clear sea and partying on a divine beach with local people in Playa Blanca.

*Enjoying a spectacular view/day on top of the Macciu Pitchu after travelling on top of it in a 5**** Inca rail train while eating Peruvian Gastronomic food and drinking proper Pisco Sour all trip long. (thank you dear all inclusive... :-) )

*Corsican round sailing and visiting a HUGE part of Europe in camper with my parents

*Spearfishing in plenty of great mediterranean places...

*Went to plenty of great gigs and festivals all over Europe, make friends with the most unexpected improbable persons .... :-) ... etc etc....

*Antarctica two times now for several months ....Zodiac Cruises close to whales, Orcas (killer-whales) hunting live just in front of me, in the middle of the sea....it was INSANE!!

* Crossing the ARTIC POLAR CIRCLE (way far in the northface of the earth) and crossing the Southernmost part of the world one year later while sailing across the ANTARTIC POLAR CIRCLE this time. Yeah let's figure out that i can consider myself as nothing but a true BIPOLAR now .... :-) :-) :-)

*Several Trekkings to meet different kinds of pinguins on plenty of different places all over Antarctica etc etc ....

*Being totally blast by dozen and dozen Nothern Lights during the legendary North West passage.....simply awesome, simply unreal! ....

*Sail overnight on a sea covered by bioluminescent plankton .... a magical moment as well!!

*Getting close from Whales, Dolphins, sharks in Australia, polar bears, wolfs, Bélugas, Musk-oxen and Narvals was insane too...

*Meeting Greenlandic , Canadian inuits...but also inuits from Alaska and spending some authentik moments with them....

*Drinking cocktails at OZONE, the highest sky bar of the world in Hong Kong....

*Visiting all Iceland and trekkings on top of different volcanos there, and also volcanos from Kamtchatka and Kouriles islands

*Sailing across the legendary Corinth canal and the Panama river was simply amazing too!

Aww!...So much things ..... waayyy too much things actually!!
.....“Randomly“ it was some of the amazing things i ve done but should i keep some surprises tho ??? .......

To date, I had such a pretty intense life with plenty of great meetings and situations.... ""The show must go on!!!"" ^^
