ABOUT ME

My name is Jordan! But I'm traveling right now with my friend Alexis (who is shown in my pictures) and we are students at Euromed in Marseille, France for the summer and we're trying to see as much as we can while we're here! We love to travel and meet new people. We also LOVE to cook and have been cooking in our little hotel kitchen for the past month. We have been sharing our "american" cooking style, while learning some new french recipes on the way! (PS- always willing to cook for hosts if you are interested in having a home cooked "american" meal! ;) ) We have been enjoying the BEAUTIFUL beaches and "les Calanques" around Marseille and have met some wonderful people from Scotland, Hawaii, Australia, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Italy and England! It's been incredible!
I love music and discovering new music. My favorite song of the moment: "Breezeblocks" by Alt-J
and Alexis's favorite song (she's the dancer of the two of us..) is "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell and T.I. :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a band at my apartment in Wilmington, and have met up with a few other couch surfers while traveling, however, have not been able to host anyone in my small hotel room that I already share with Alexis! However, I'm so excited to start hosting more when I move back to the states! It's been such an eye opening experience since I've been in Europe!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I loooooved meeting all of the couch surfers in Marseille and I loved hosting the band who stayed with me in Wilmington. It's been, like I said before, eye opening, and I hope to share more experiences with more "like-minded" (couchsurfers) travelers in the future!

Interessen

For Alexis and I, our free time has been spent traveling around the city of Marseille while we're here! And we have lots of plans to travel as many places and see as many things as we can before we leave! We're open to seeing new things and meeting new people :) We just recently traveled to Venice, Milan and Nice- headed to Paris next!

We love to cook, dance (although Alexis is wayyyy better than me, her moves put my moves to shame), try new things (sky diving! ahh!) and meet new people!

Alexis is studying Marine Biology, and I am studying Psychology, and we are both studying French (which is what brought us to marseille this summer!)

We are definitely interested in practicing our French (as it needs some serious practice!) but we've been practicing all over France (and even in Italy, yesterday, too!)

I love biking, and I hope to take my bike all over the world someday exploring as many places as I can by bike. I enjoy ALL kinds of music (Alexis, aussi!) and I have a decent knowledge of films? at the moment, I think my favorite actor is Christoph Waltz, and I could watch Django Unchained and Inglorious Bastards over and over and over just to see his acting!

We want to see as much of the world as possible and our biggest goals are to see the world before we die! We don't think that the place you're born is necessarily you're "home"... we want to explore the world and find the place that makes us feel like home!
