Hi, my name is Jayde. Im a solo female traveler from Canada. I have been travelling for 3 years now, I have went back to Canada for 5 months in between to work. Back in Canada I work in homeless shelters, we house those who are living on the streets in a church and we feed them, provide emotional support and help with all sort of services to help them get back on their feet. My job back in Canada is my passion but unfortunately due to the drug crisis in Canada it can be traumatic which is why I choose not to work consistently in the field!! However, travelling is when I feel the most alive, so I try to see as much of the world as I can. I am an adventurous soul, love hitchhiking, going with the flow. Travelling for me is all about meeting people and being immersed in culture. I travel very low budget because I don’t need much to be happy just good company and a good laugh :)

Unfortunately I have not been able to host anyone in Canada yet as I haven’t really been living back there and last time I was there I was sleeping in a friends spare room. But I hope next time I go back I can make it work. As I’d love to give back to others as well!! So it is a goal in the future.

I would say I’m a pretty easy going and flexible person :)

Alsoooooo, I like volunteering and staying in a place for a longer period of time so if anyone has any ideas please throw them my way!! If you need help with pictures for your business, need me to help with English, need help with house work/cleaning/babysitting your kids let me know I’d be happy to help out in return :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me the part I enjoy most about traveling is being with locals and creating genuine connections. So yeah I'm on the app to meet/stay with locals and create lasting friendships

Interests

My number one interest right now is travelling, been living out of the backpack for some time and however it gets tiring from time to time I absolutely love it and am greatful. I love going to off beaten path destinations

I'm also into outdoor sports. in Canada I was a avid hiker and into rock climbing. I much prefer to be outside then indoors.
