Hey! I come from a small town in the South Island of New Zealand and for as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to travel. In October 2014, I woke up one day and thought what am I waiting for, so I went and booked my flights the next week! My journey started in June 2015 and I will be gone for six months in total! Travelling with my boyfriend Kris and every moment and experience has been amazing!

I love to cook (so much that I became a chef) and I love trying new cuisines. Learning about new cultures fascinates me and I love making new friends!

Hopefully in the next couple of years I will start hosting people in New Zealand, so will be awesome to stay with people who would come and visit us at home one day :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about couchsurfing a couple of years ago, but have only just started using it to stay with our first host in NYC and it was awesome!
Such a good way to learn about a city and experience a place like a local.

Interests

I love to cook, sing, cats, play my violin, listen to music, meet new people, drink cider, explore new places, travel, spend time with family and have a good laugh.

Love pop music mainly but love some good Jazz or blues and sometimes a bit of country.
Love a good comedy movie and chick flicks are always awesome!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drank champagne at the top of the Eiffel tower, sand-boarded down dunes in the dessert on the outskirts of Dubai, came on this six month trip!

I would love to learn traditional recipes from your country, because New Zealand cuisine isn't very authentic - we basically just stole every other countries ideas haha

I can teach you all that I know about being a kiwi in New Zealand and give good advice where in New Zealand to travel to if you've been thinking about it. Also, when I convince you to come, you will have a place to stay!
