About Me
Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me!
Naturally, I’m an outgoing, open minded, and adventurous type, but travel has also taught me to take the time to relax and never be in too much of a rush. I’ve done most of my travel ‘solo’, but only because that leaves more room to meet new people! I would love the opportunity to get to know your stories, meet your friends, and learn about your town and culture!
I’ve spent the last 3-4 years travelling , and now feel more at home on the road, than I do anywhere else! Being able to live spontaneously is the number one thing I strive for. I love not knowing where I’m going to end up the next day, or who i’m going to meet. It’s the excitement and inherent freedom of not having a routine to stick to, or a permanent place to be, that inspires me to keep travelling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since leaving Australia a few years ago, I have been fortunate enough to visit some amazing countries and meet some even more amazing people, creating friendships that I will always cherish. I’m a slow traveller and much prefer to take my time in each place and try to understand the feeling and culture of each part of the world i’m in. Getting to know a place, not from a tourist perspective, but as a local knows it is something I always try to experience when travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m always playing a mix of all kinds of music, but as I write this I’m playing a lot of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Tinariwen, Idles, Mako Road, Fat Freddie’s Drop, Babe Rainbow and a bit of Flight Facilities.... but that’s just the beginning! I’m open to a huge variety of music, and love to discover new stuff! Finding new music while travelling is the best, as I’ll always have the memories of where I was, and who I was with, whenever I listen to it.
Most of my reading is usually travel / adventure biographies - recently i’ve enjoyed Shantaram and Grapes of Wrath.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my favourite memories was working as a camp counsellor at Camp Carolina, in the USA. I’d seriously recommend anyone to give it a go! The friendships formed with the other counsellors and the young campers will last a lifetime, and the travelling afterwards was a dream!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love talk for hours about anything - and I’m always very interested to hear about things from your perspective!
