About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Host my first couchsurfer.

ABOUT ME

I'm 38 and recently started my own business selling stuff for myself and other people online (mostly ebay). I travel out to Europe a few times a year but mostly to the Czech Republic where I have family and I also spend time in Prague.
Most of my leisure time is spent out with my friends either in Ormskirk itself or nearby. Big nights out in Liverpool have been known to occur.

PHILOSOPHY

Be excellent to each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A comfortable and private place to sleep and all the facilities within my humble abode as well as the knowledge of how to have a decent time in the North-West UK are at the discerning surfer's disposal.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not yet. But soon.

Interests

Record collecting, rummaging around car boot sales/charity shops/thrift shops, DJing, creative writing, gaming, running a youtube channel, vintage/retro stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

Films: Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Pulp Fiction, Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz/Worlds End, Anything Studio Ghibli, Rebuild of Evangelion, Most of the marvel film universe, Bourne Series. There's even been a couple of what I'm obliged to call 'chick-flicks' I've liked such as 27 Dressed and PS I Love You. I draw the line at Bride Wars though.
Music: I've grown up liking Dance/Electronic/EDM stuff but I'll give anything from Rock to Rap to Classical to Dancehall to works using Peruvian Nose-flute.
Books: Terry Pratchett, Tim Wood, Glenn Cooper, Dave Gorman, John Grisham, travel writing in general, military history in general. I tend towards non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Daft Punk Live in Birmingham 1997. They later released the recording of the concert as the "Alive 1997" CD. Even got an album cover autographed (and in those days they weren't wearing the robot masks yet).

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to know anything about making the most out of selling stuff online, then you could do a lot worse than ask me :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

20-25 years knowledge of the Manchester and Liverpool area - a location with transport links to both.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
