ABOUT ME
My name is Jess but call me Jay.
I once put a plastic plate in the oven. That was pretty stupid but I don't generally do things like that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I live in Wollongong on the South Coast of NSW. It's friggen beautiful here. Come down and see for yourself! It's about a 1.5 to 2 hour train ride from Sydney (depends whether it's an all stops train or not). I can host 1 or 2 people (but let me know if you are more and I'll see what I can do). There is a LOT to do around here, great surf beaches (we have boards you can borrow) I am two steps away from town and the beach. I am a student so have a flexible schedule and I live with my boyfriend, Anton and dog, Penny. I've traveled a far bit but am currently grounded trying to finish a degree so I'm keen to meet anyone from any culture to learn and share and live vicariously through.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I cannot remember how I found this website, but I did and I'm so glad. It teaches honesty and trust in a world where there is so little. I have traveled around a bit, working in a summer camp for two years in the states and a hostel for 6 months in Scotland, both of which I love to talk about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A quadratic equation.
Summer Camp, 2008 and 2009. I'm not sure whether the bubble that summer camp surrounds you in is a good or bad thing, but I think that for 2 months of the year, kids deserve to be enveloped in love, trust and good old-fashioned fun activities. I also don't know if this counts as an amazing experience either, but in my books, meeting all those people and learning so much about how to deal with other cultures and kids is definitely amazing. Living without technology is just the BEST.
I've run 42km and run 1km up Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh and both were amazing, incredible experiences.
Teach, Learn, Share
Come to Wollongong and I can tech you how to run! If you know how to/love to run already, then come here and teach me how to run, while I share my favourite running tracks. Either way, let's go for a run together.
