ABOUT ME
67, native Tulsan with two beautiful daughters from original marriage. Horticulturist at Tulsa Zoo for 24 yrs. (retired June, ‘20). Enjoy live music, sporting events, esp. baseball, and good beer and Irish whiskey. Like to travel, hike and camp. Prefer travel by car to air when possible.
PHILOSOPHY
Believe everyone does something well and that makes them happy. Try to remember this and be positive even if it doesn't jive with your present being or doings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Great way to meet folks and learn their stories. Enjoy paying it forward.
Interests
Community, whether it is with a group of people with like interests or out in nature hiking and taking in the surroundings. Love walking and biking. It fulfills a desire in myself to provide my own locomotion to get from here to there. Enjoy growing things, especially my own food. Really dig live music scene and the community that is almost always positive and present.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a year in Europe as part of a Mennonite exchange program when in my 20s. Great learning adventure, especially regarding the importance of communication. Got to ride my bike from Switzerland to the Netherlands along the Rhine River, hike on a glacier in the Alps, and see James Brown in London.
