About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have some laughs, get into adventures, and live life to its fullest
ABOUT ME
I am currently a student pursuing my Master's in Nutritional science with the hopes of becoming a registered dietitian upon graduation. Though school takes up a large percentage of my time and energy, I still find time to go backpacking, ride my bike, take in films and the latest art exhibits at the SAM, and read. Seeing as school has taken the place of traveling for the time-being, I am allowing my wonderful roommate Amaris to utilize my account while she travels through France this summer doing mindfulness-based art therapy. Thus, if you get a message from her, treat my profile as a direct representation of her. If you're looking for someone who is kind, compassionate, intelligent, and inquisitive Amaris is the perfect couchsurfer for you.
PHILOSOPHY
Be patient, everything works out in the long run.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, the life of a student doesn't lend itself to the freedom of traveling. Since returning to school three years ago to pursue a Masters in nutritional science, I've been pretty absent from the couchsurfing scene. I am hoping to get in a trip to SE Asia this year but will resume full-on traveling post-graduation...I can't wait!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
After couch surfing through New Zealand, Australia, and the USA, I then opened my house up to couchsurfers for an entire year. It was an incredible experience to be on both sides of this wonderful project. In my opinion there is no better way to see, and understand, a place than by living and interacting with the people who reside there. Some of the most amazing experiences I have had and people I have met while traveling were though couchsurfing.

Film: Weird indie films. There are some great local, indie theaters near my house that I frequent far too often. Music: indie, multi-layered, psychedelic rock. Books: whatever I can get my hands on but "Remains of the Day" and the "Corrections" are two of my personal favorites.
