On my way to Brazil through South America

ABOUT ME

I am currently traveling through South America on my way to living in Brazil. I want to learn Portuguese and Spanish and all about the history and people of South America.

I am very relaxed, clean and curious about food and music. I am very curious about exposing myself to new food and music and people! I am very interested in politics and social reform and love discussing the various causes that generate passionate responses both local and international.

PHILOSOPHY

Live simply so others can simply live. I believe in treating the world how I would like to be treated. The most magical experiences I have had come with alot of energy from alot of people. I am always passionate and caring about everything I do and love meeting like minded and different people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently looking to surf couches in order to gain a local perspective and make new friends! Once I return home I would love to host surfers in San Francisco and have already done so in Santa Cruz,CA and Lisbon, Portugal.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very limited but I am very excited to try it out! I have hosted friends in Lisbon, Portugal and in Santa Cruz. I have surfed couches in Yosemite, CA and throughout Brazil!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing to the top of Angels Landing in Zion National Park, Utah, USA. Witnessing a cheetah hunt and kill a gazelle on a safari in Kenya. Participating in Occupy Oakland through non-violent sit ins and door to door community organizing. I met the most amazing people and my community of Oakland has progressed so much in just a year!
