About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find that golden lamp, rub it, meet the elusive genie, and get my three wishes for life (can't tell what they are or they won't come true, right?!?)!
ABOUT ME
I am a Midwestern girl at heart with a longing to be anywhere but the Midwest! I always thought I would settle down near the ocean and be a beach bum. I actually tried this for a year and loved it, however it wasn't quite as great when all the people I loved and wanted to share it with were all back in the Midwest. Thus,I ended up back in Minneapolis. I still hope to move to the ocean again one day, only I plan to bring some of those that I love with me this time! All that being said, I still have to get out of here pretty much every three months or so. I have family all over the States, so I see them often, as well as trying to take fun "for me" trips. My best friend and I have made it our mission to travel the world by taking a trip abroad every three years. So far we have stuck to this!
Aside from my travel passion, music is my other life-blood. It would be a rare occasion if you found me alone and not listening to music. I try to go to as many concerts as I can - both local and national acts. I am fortunate that Minneapolis has one of the best local music scenes in the States, so I don't have to look too hard for a show to go to on any given night.
PHILOSOPHY
Do good for others every day, and give back to the people and earth that so generously give to us. Believe in yourself and when that is simply too hard, make sure you surround yourself with people who will take over and believe for you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been able to use CS during my travels abroad, as well as here in the States. Never had a bad experience, and I firmly believe it 100% enriched my travels. I have hosted a few people as well, and am looking forward to more!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I used CS for the first time in summer 2009 while traveling in Italy. I met some of the most genuine and kind people, and I am fortunate enough to still be in touch with some of them regularly! I also surfed in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico with some wonderful people. And, of course, CS has been a part of some great U.S. music-themed experiences!
