About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel to places I have not yet been to as well as revisit places; to experience my golden years as a traveller and an explorer. To surf the Earth and experience life via travel, meeting all kinds of people and not from a dusty couch at home :)

ABOUT ME

Creative. Love exploring ideas and attitudes. Have lived on Earth for 56 years and have done many things. Married to awesome David for nearly 28 years. Have a daughter, Chloe (24 - a maverick and fellow designer) and a son Josh (27- also a maverick and a musician and a jeweller)). Lived in Australia for two years as a kid. Lived with my pioneer grandparents in the African bush for two years and became bush-wise. Travelled widely both as a youngster and as an oldster :) Philosophic, esoteric and metaphysically orientated. Studied formal art, several healing modalities; went back to school and became a qualified chef recently. Established an alternative high school for "Indigo' kids and a run an meta-physical coaching practice. Do illustrations for books and for myself. But I am not flakey or up-in-the-air new-agey. I am down to earth and have a no-nonsense approach. A sceptic psychic :)

PHILOSOPHY

I live to feel and interact with others. To be a receptor and conscious processor of feeling. Being kind and compassionate to the weak, the orphaned and the sick (human and animal)without being subsumed or getting overly sentimental. Generating inner consciousness and independence is important for serenity. Choosing my thoughts so that I can be responsible for my actions. Blaming others is a waste of time, but being firm and clear and establishing my own boundaries, is preferable.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Tolkein, Terry Pratchett and the more bizarre Mervyn Peake and selected fantasy; some sci-fi; some horror; but mostly factual books interest me- cosmology, philosophy and psychology. Led Zeppelin, Beatles, The Tallest Man on Earth...Beethoven, Vivaldi.... My son's music is great:) Movies: mostly classics, good kids stuff, and arty movies and very occasionally a good thriller or who-dunnit. Generally prefer to entertain myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Komodo Island on a small boat with my husband, son and daughter where we had to seek and find the awesome, scary Komodo dragons! Travellers are not guaranteed a sighting so it was fabulous that we saw two of the huge 'dragons' after a long, hot but interesting hike.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share a lifetime of searching for "who am I'; the classic 'flower-child', the protestor and the pacifist. I would like to hear what people of vision are thinking. Differing points of view when original are so exciting. I also love the quiet folk who without self-consciousness are just 'who they are' - I have much to learn from them.

Countries I’ve Visited
