Married and currently living in Melbourne. My husband Vaughan and I are passionate about all things travel and adventure. In 2013/2014 we took a year off from our jobs and travelled the world visiting 29 countries over 6 continents. In 2017 we plan to sell our house and take off again but this time with a more fluid end date!

When we are not travelling we are home working to save for our next trip and enjoy activities like bushwalking and camping in our local national parks, spending time with friends and family, weekend getaways and I am currently studying for a Cert III in Travel and Tourism.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We are new to couch surfing and willing to give it ago. I think it will not only help with our budget but also its an opportunity to meet locals and experience a new place and make new friends.

We have met and befriended many people on our travels from all over the world and of all ages. Some of which have stayed with us in our home in Melbourne and for which we have enjoyed playing host and showing them the best of what our city and its surrounds has to offer.

Sorry we are not accepting guests at the moment but we are in the process of selling our house!

Travel!

Together we love hiking, camping, cycling, scuba diving, skiing, photography, food and wine.

Vaughan's interests extend to AFL football, scouting, sailing, geocaching and orienteering. Vaughan has been a cub scout leader for over 20 years.

My interests extend to learning new languages and blogging on our travel website www.blueplanetnomads.com. I also try to keep fit with swimming and running. I also love to spend time on the beach during the summer months.

Music: Vaughan loves the 80's I will flip the radio between only music and chart music, I like a mix of everything.

Books: Vaughan is a book worm totally! his favourite thing is his Kindle. He reads mostly fantasy, non-fiction true to life stories, history and science. I only really read when I'm travelling but I do like fantasy (Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, David Eddings Books etc) , I don't seem to have much time at home!

Movies: We both love fantasy and science fiction, comedy, Disney, action & adventure and true to life stories. We don't like horror or violence.

I enjoy learning languages and I'm currently learning Spanish. I'm also spending time learning more about Photoshop and Lightroom. Vaughan is learning more about photography since he got his new camera!

Share stories and laughs usually over wine, beer and good food

Teach all we know about our knowledge of the places we have been. I also enjoy helping people who want to learn English.

Tips, recommendations and stories of places we have been both overseas and Australia. We have both travelled Australia quite extensively and we have just about been everywhere in Victoria so know the good places to go and things to see especially if your on a budget. We can share everything we know about Australian culture including Aussie slang! Vaughan is a a born and bred Victorian and walking encyclopaedia (comes from reading so much and retaining it!) he likes a good discussion :-)
