About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Maybe some more of South East Asia... maybe go back for Austin City Limits... maybe visit some friends I've made in other countries!

ABOUT ME

I love travel and music. What with the invention of the ipod I can now take music with me on my travels which makes me very happy indeed. One day, when I've finished travelling (if we ever really finish travelling.....) I might go back to Uni to study music therapy and make music and help people at the same time. In the meantime, I really want to see some American music festivals - I've done a few in Europe so now I want to do a few in America!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short. Sometimes the only way out is to jump in the deep end and swim....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had an amazing time meeting other couch surfers in the US! There was a wonderful community in Austin and I went to a meet up in San Fran which was great. I really met some wonderful people. I am hoping to get more involved now I am back home here in Brisvegas but it might take some time to get me back on my feet....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in the US and went to some meet ups (one in San Fran, and some in Austin). It was great and I'm hoping to meet some cser's I can show around Brisbane!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite book is probably 'The Elegance of the Hedgehog' which is by a french author and is just so beautifully written! I love good literature so I love Barbara Kingsolver and Oscar Wilde and such but also got into some good American authors before my trip. My favourite author is Roald Dahl.

I love so many different types of music - it affects me in so many ways - from pounding Kanye or dance music or NIN at the gym to seeing live indie bands or big acts at festivals to brass bands and jazz musicians to classical music (I am studying the cello after all - currently really into Schubert)... it just depends on my mood!

Movies... well, anything with Ryan Gosling! He is a dreamboat!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think La Tomatina is still probably top of the list, closely followed by Glastonbury and Hydro Connect festivals.... so far! Niagara Falls really REALLY took my breath away. San Diego was one of my best birthdays and Lollapalooza was amazing! Austin Texas is also right up there....

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I study cello. I can whistle breathing in as well as out! I know how to handle a crowd and want to learn more about lomography. I can give you a lot of tips on how to survive a British music festival....
