Overview
About Me
I'm curious and known for smiling a lot. I'm always up for meeting good people, making good conversation, and for having a good time.
I'm happiest in fresh air. I like to take the scenic route, cycle as much as possible, hike, camp, play the flute, beach-comb, picnic, wander through museums/galleries, canoe/kayak, explore old buildings, and so on.
A long-term travel dream: I'd love to cycle/camp the ring road in Iceland.
PHILOSOPHY
if you hold a green branch in your heart, a singing bird will come. -chinese proverb
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd be up for meeting for coffee or a drink, and hanging out. I know some good places to see/eat/listen to music/explore.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with a friend of a couch-surfer who's the friend of a friend who's a couch-surfer in Paris, and I've couch-surfed (legit) in Montreal, on both sides of doing the Explore Program in Chicoutimi. It was awesome. Swing dancing, cooking, biking - super fun. More recently I couch-surfed in Lille, France, where our gracious host led us to the best parts of La Braderie and introduced us to Picon a Biere (delicious). Keen to do more.
Interests
there's a wide variety, let's see. art+traveling, ideas+history, current events+archeology, architecture+politics, human rights+photography, languages+music, noise/sound+food systems, gardening+bikes, design+planning. figuring out how to be a good person, and what all makes me (and others) happy. it goes on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess it would have to be night-skinny-dipping in greece, with bio-luminescent organisms glowing in the water and constellations shining bright above, and feeling very much at one with the universe.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a bit about architecture, if you're interested, and am always up for helping out with handywork. I could teach you how to read music/play the flute.
I worked at a bead store for a long time, so I can repair a lot of jewelry, and teach you how to make some.
I know some good recipes.
Always up for sharing a laugh.
