Music, Movies, and Books
Atonement and Anchorman are two cinematic gems.
Music is beautiful, I enjoy all genres and particularly love Blind Pilot, golden oldies (think My Girl-The Temptations), Jay-Z, Angus & Julia Stone, Fleet Foxes, Wisin y Yandel, Beirut, Head and the Heart, and Simon & Garfunkel.
A Thousand Splendid Suns is one of the most incredible books I have ever read. I'm still in the process of finishing the Harry Potter series, and I highly recommend "Farm City" by Novella Carpenter for an enlightening and wildly entertaining read about the joys and challenges of growing your own food in an urban setting.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Fishing adventure in Alaska. Caught some fish, watched a team of rustic chefs cook it up on shore right in front of my eyes, and proceeded to eat the most delicious and minimally processed meal of my life.
One time, I herded sheep in Argentina. 5 hours a day for a week! I held a staff and everything. I will never forget the epic sensation of feeling like a modern-day Moses.
Also, every day I'm baffled by the beautiful place in which I live. Roof-top sunsets are the ultimate glory!
Teach, Learn, Share
kitchen related activities, knowledge about sustainable food and farming, adequate at providing comic relief
I can also make a mean cup of tea.
