About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to learn more--about cultural oddities, food preferences, architectural mistakes, historical anomalies, human follies, and human triumphs. And somehow figure out how to use that to live a richer life.
ABOUT ME
Often mistaken as reserved on first acquaintance. Just takes time for my brain to figure out what makes the new person relax and laugh. Then the gears kick in. So I suppose my public personality depends on yours. I can be grave, goofy, or a goody-two-shoes.
Outside the social milieu, I love to read popular fiction, watch good films, write bad poetry, and cook and/or eat a variety of foods. I find most things in life absurd and amusing.
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind, everyone is fighting a battle.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a new member and sadly, have no couch to offer yet. But I'd be happy to answer questions about places I've lived in or my current city/state. I'm also happy to take a visitor to coffee/drink or a meal.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed with a great CS member and his girlfriend in Dundee, Scotland. Was bowled over by their generosity and kindness.
Interests
Traveling, trying new cuisine, learning to play the guitar, discussing Harry Potter...

Helping some tourists film a shadow puppet strangling movie at night in the haunting/funny Colosseum-like McCaig's tower in Oban, Scotland.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach people rudimentary Hindi and Marathi (and some Shakespeare, if you wished)
I'd like to learn about places people have lived in or traveled to (particularly if they've done so on a budget in Europe)
I can share what I've learned about living in a multicultural society. Also, some of mom's ridiculously fabulous cooking skills
