About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm a life coach, corporate writer and aspiring novelist. My mission is to travel more, and taste so much more of what life has to offer. My partner Andrew is a financial planner, musician and avid disc golfer.

ABOUT ME

I love olives, chocolate, dancing and scrabble. I write. I take a lot of pictures. I think this couch surfing site is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. People who open their homes to strangers give me hope for the world at large.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind. Share. Listen. Sit quietly, often. Stretch. Dance!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live at a very full co-op so I don't have a bed to offer, but when I do, I will be excited to have couchsurfers come stay. Will be looking for other ways I can get involved too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't used this site in years, just kept forgetting it was an option! My partner and I have been house-sitting using the Trusted House-sitters app for the past couple of years, and that's been a lot of fun, traveling and staying in lovely people's homes and caring for their sweet cats and dogs. We have all 5-star reviews on that app, because we care for people's homes the way we'd care for our own (with love).

I've had one couchsurfing experience through this site and it was fantastic. I'm always grateful for a place to rest my head while traveling. It's so much nicer to stay with real people than at hotels.

Interests

I'm deeply interested in personal growth, and in becoming an ever-more compassionate, grounded, loving person.

I take time to appreciate beauty - in nature, art, and unexpected places.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're staying for any length of time in a place, see if you can get a library card! Bring one or two books from home that you can give away when you're finished with them and know that you will get books from fellow travelers, and libraries can be your best friend. Get audio books to listen to on trains and buses - preferably ones that are set in the country you're visiting, so you can get more insight into the people and area.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a decent cook, and am happy to bring over your favourite beverage, dessert, or cheese...
