CURRENT MISSION

I am a high school teacher of Humanities. I worked 80% pay for 4 years so I could have a 5th year (sabbatical) off at 80% pay in 2019. I spent 6 mont in South America before heading to USA to live in Green Bay, WI to follow the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers for every game they played, both home and away for the 2019 season for another 6 months. I met my future wife during this time and I am currently traveling until I receive my American green card.

ABOUT ME

I had a perfect life in Perth, Western Australia but I felt something was missing - I was sitting in my mate’s bar in Green Bay a few years ago during my spring school holidays after attending my very first Packers game and his mate who I had tailgated with told me of an Australian man who sold up in Sydney and moved him and his young family to Green Bay to follow the Packers. I thought wow - this is the kinda random, crazy, adventure/crusade/challenge I need to go on whilst also travelling a continent that I have never been to before. It turned out pretty well as I ended up marrying the woman of my dreams and making friendships and memories to last a lifetime.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got involved in CouchSurfing after meeting 3 German backpackers at a pub in a small town that I was living in rural Western Australia around 9 years ago. They stayed around for a couple of weeks and I loved the company - sharing dinner, experiences and laughs and so I decided to become a CouchSurfing host.
