About Me

CURRENT MISSION

keep my mind, eyes and heart open to experience all there is to explore in life to the fullest

ABOUT ME

Uh. Toughie. I find it very hard to describe myself these days, so I'll just hold on to the things I DO now: I love to listen to (live, if possible) good music, and am very open to discussing what makes music good and to learn why people like a certain kind of music and... I love all about music. That sums it up, I guess.

I love reading. I got myself an eReader a couple of years back (yeah yeah, blasphemy to the "true" reader, I know - but try traveling with twenty books in your backpack, you'll change your mind ;)) and since a good friend supplied me with loads of ebooks I've been reading without any specification in topics, quality (even though it's REALLY hard sometimes - but I just hate not finishing a book, even if it's like... really, really bad).

I love the sea. Beach, wind, sound, smell... just love it all. I love to surf, though I'm pretty shit up until now (intending to change that!), and my biggest goal is to have a house by the beach someday.

I did a lot of seemingly random things in my life - I'm a trained events manager, but have never really organized events professionally. I've studied Popular Music and Media (sounds cool, doesn't it?) but have issues remembering band names of groups that I find very cool. I've lived in Australia and New Zealand, and since early 2015 have been proud to call Vancouver my home. I love living in new places and different countries, to experience cultures from within, and meet amazing people all over the world.

PHILOSOPHY

"we will keep having crazy epic adventures until we're too old to move, and stuck on breathing machines with tubes coming out of us" (sam stackhouse)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hosted and surfed a bit, and love both sides of the cs experience. I've met so many great people, and made some very good friends through couchsurfing. I think probably the awesomeness of the whole idea is only equaled by the awesomeness of the people participating. And that's that.

Interests

music (i might have mentioned that before...), languages (which means: talking. a lot. at times.), photography, writing, dancing, laughing, singing, reading, eating, movies, get to know new people, sleeping.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

swimming the ocean at sunrise on farewell cape, new zealand. in may. pretty fucking freezing, still awesome. that beach's the best.

Teach, Learn, Share

i play guitar and i used to play the violin for several years. so that might be things i could teach.

i want to learn a whole lot of things, among them snowboarding and percussive guitar playing. apart from that, i take in as much as i can, since i believe people can teach stuff just by being themselves.

What I Can Share with Hosts

lots of travel stories, a good meal, my music.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Wales
