ABOUT ME

I upload videos to YouTube and am very active in the community; yes, YouTube has a community. if you're interested then you can find some videos here: http://www.youtube.com/rhymingwithoranges

I teach English, or at least try to; I am working on getting as much of the world speaking it with an Essex accent.

I also have the frustration of being a native, English speaker who loves languages.

I play the ukulele! Granted, I only play about 12 songs but I do my damn best. I have the claim-to-fame of playing a couple of songs on Chinese TV! I try and bring my uke with me to most places I go.

I am also a frustrated surfer; being born inland and only being able to surf one or two weeks out of the year is the bane of my existence. That said, I love the sport. I have been addicted since I had my first wipeout on Polzeath beach in Cornwall at the age of 7.

I am also a bit of a ponce and write a diary and a blog. The latter of which can be found here: http://www.rhymingwithorangesblog.blogspot.com

oh, and if you care, I also have a Twitter:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Initially used it to travel Japan cheaply, then used it in Korea and ended up shacking up with CSers during the summer of 2010 in Madrid. It's a fantastic way to get some local knowledge and meet some fascinating people. I also help to organise and attend meetings in my current city of Nanjing.
