ABOUT ME

I'm easy-going, unless of course I'm being attacked by pirates, chased by rabid dogs or smack dab in the middle of some other dangerous yet exhilirating circumstances. I dig unusual situations and unexpected twists and turns. I'm pretty good at rolling with it. I'm friendly, kind of sarcastic, but generally I have a positive outlook on life and the capacity of people to make the world a better place. I tend to be on the quiet side- but I LOVE conversation and am really excited to meet and talk with people from all over the world with different perspectives.

I'm in traveling mode and will be looking for some couches and new friends shortly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, all I have had the pleasure of experiencing is a wine party in Suwon, Korean... I'm just a young grasshopper in the CouchSurfing world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm crazy about movies- my favorites are I Heart Hucklebees, Amelie, The Royal Tenenbaums, Fight Club, Waking Life, City of God, and Baraka.

Music- Tom Waits...and then everyone else: Nina Simone, Wilco, Beirut, Iron and Wine, Cat Power, Meiko, Feist, White Stripes, Louis Prima, Nick Drake... I like a lot of indie and acoustic folk music.

Books- Kurt Vonnegut excites me in a way no other author ever has... I also love the first 2 chapters of Something Happened by Joseph Heller. I like quirky fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would have to say the most amazing thing I've ever done is scuba diving. It was such a surreal experience- it really was like going to a different world. I'll remember it vividly forever.
