ABOUT ME

I moved to Louisville on a whim in February 2011 after completing a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Greensboro, NC. Even though I didn't really have a plan in place when I got here, I have created a pretty great life for myself. I currently work as a copywriter for Amazon Fashion. Contrary to public opinion, robots don't write the bullet points next to that shirt or dress you're thinking about purchasing. I do. I definitely work to live, instead of the other way around and value having enough free time to pursue my non-work related interests. I also co-manage a local happy hour blog called Our Happy Hours www.ourhappyhrs.com. Louisville travelers should check it out for a list of local and affordable food and drink specials.

PHILOSOPHY

My idea of success is having a life filled with diverse experiences. I'm enjoying living in Louisville but the right job, person, or experience could easily sway me away to another city. I hope to live in many different places and meet all kinds of different people before I settle down.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people, so hosting surfers is always fun. I also would love to be hosted by any friendly, centrally located, folks in the cities that I travel to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted couch surfers from Ohio, South Africa, West Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and DC. I also, occasionally attend couch surfer meetups in Louisville.

Intereses

I enjoy: trying new local restaurants (especially ones that serve an awesome brunch), drinking craft beer, watching stand-up comedy and improv shows, contra, swing, and salsa dancing, listening to live music,and playing trivia games. I am always up for a lively philosophical or political discussion as well.
