About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I'm an Aerospace Engineer who hates to travel by plane, it's not like I'm afraid of flying or anything (and I find it useful when you don't have time or you really need to go to the end of the world) but I definitely prefer trains or boats. I guess it's a classic book/movie thing, nothing interesting ever happens in a plane (Snakes on a Plane, seriously???).
I love to travel, to meet people, learn new things, listen to new music...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had lots of CS experiences, but all of them out of CS. I've been hosted in Switzerland, Romania, Hungary... many times but actual couchsurfers but I never used the website. So I guess this is just a natural evolution of my travelling style.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well... this one is tricky...
I'm a huge fan of Kubrick, Wilder, Hitchcock... and I hate to see movies after reading the original book (Who doesn't?) although there are exceptions of course (like Dersu Uzala).
I listen almost to any kind of music, mainly jazz and folk music (Irish, Balcanic, Basque) but I also like the Doors, Queen, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles as well as Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Cohen...

I love to read, it's one of the things I love about travelling, be able to read during the endless hours of train. I guess the two writers that are more important to me are Roald Dahl and Michael Ende (The Neverending Story of course, but specially Momo) but I really like Tom Wolfe (The Bonfire of Vanities, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test), Huxley (Island, Point Counter Point), Slaughterhouse-five (Vonnegut), One flew over the cuckoo's nest (Kesey).

Teach, Learn, Share

I play the guitar and the piano, so I guess I could teach it, as well as spanish.
I'm a music freak, unfortunately, my studies take almost all my time, but I still love to learn how to play every instrument I can fin during my trips.
