About Me

I joined Couchsurfing a little while ago and am now trying it out for the first time. I grew up in the mountains of Colorado but (same as everyone on couch surfing) I have a passion for travel. One of my goals in life is to be at every major festival in the world before I die and to go to every continent. My dream is to be a photographer on the same levels of National Geographic. I love everything outdoors but I live in a major city so it's a completely new life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I moved to Spain in October to teach but right now I am trying to test out where in Spain is the best place for me to be. This is why I am a couchsurfer. To meet new people all over Spain and hear what they think about their region.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a lot in my life, I've eaten a $1000 meal to running around corners to avoid the drug cartels in the slums of Juárez, México. But the best was a day in Petra, Jordan when I met one of the Bedouin tribes who still live in the ancient caves above Petra. They took me to the cliff tops where they have their tents to save them from the sun, I met the elder of the tribe and heard their story about how the park has tried to kick them out of their home, drove a donkey, and saw where they shepherd in the steep cliffs. It was a stark contrast from the busy tourist venues down below to the tops of the cliffs where every thing seemed a century or two behind.
