Hello, I'm Jaz!

I'm a young male man whose graduated with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and History and completely wishes that he travelled the world a lot more.

I'm super easy to strike up a conversation with and love talking about anything from politics to food, to football and culture. There are no questions that you'll have for me that which I won't give you an honest answer.

My friends tell me that I'm inquisitive, intelligent, funny and very laid back, and great to be around! Haha.

AND I have a beard which is super soft. So, it's up to you to ask if you want to touch it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on Couchsurfing to meet and make new friends from different cultures in London, which is the best place on Earth... although we can agree that it probably won't be after we've Brexited. (I voted Remain!)

Every now and then I go on a European adventure... and what better way to do it by saving money and making some new friends who'll teach me something about themselves, their cities and hopefully learn something about me.

Most of all, I want to share laughter... and learn a bit of your language too.

Interests

I'm a huge huge fan of comedy. My favourite comedians are Stewart Lee and Harry Hill. I love intelligent comedy as much as I like incredibly weird and surreal comedy. I'm a person who wants to write comedy but has never quite managed to do it... so give me your encouragement.

I'm always curious to learn about the political situation in your countries, and I'm a big fan of Jeremy Corbyn. Maybe you've heard a bit about him... particularly if you fancy yourself as a Socialist.

I like photography and I'm doing my best to learn how to use my lovely Nikon on the manual mode... but I could always do with some more help. If you're a photography fan, we'll get along well.

comedy - Huge fan of comedians and satire and all manner of comedy. If you have the time to google, I'd highly recommend Harry Hill and Stewart Lee to name a couple. They're incredibly different but my taste is really broad from very clever and witty to absurd ramblings. Also, i'm told I'm rather funny... which is never a bad thing! Infact, i may try and write comedy someday...

We can talk sports. I'm a fan of the greatest football team in the world, Queens Park Rangers.

My taste in music is broad... but I'm really liking people like Aphex Twin, Sebastian Tellier, Alt J, James Blake, Chet Faker... amongst others. Always happy to hear good music.

I like my Police dramas - The Wire, Engrenages

I'm into anything with a good storyline, powerful characters, and an excellent twist.

The Hobbit was super fun to read... and I'd like to read a bit more fiction to be honest. I need the imagination in my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a big cyclist and I commute everywhere in London on my bicycle. I cycled about 65 miles in one day stopping at every Metropolitan Line station and taking a photo of my bicycle in order to fundraise £800.

I was raising that £800 to go and volunteer in Kenya for three months!
