ABOUT ME

I just moved TO Australia from the USA in 2022, and I can’t wait to meet some fellow travelers :)

I love to meet new people! Being open minded is key to leading a successful and happy life, I believe firmly in this ideal. I'm originally from North Carolina (but born in VA Beach, VA), and I used to live in Charleston, SC, USA.

In Charleston, SC, I was the CS Ambassador, and my primary love is building up our wonderful CS community and bringing amazing people together from all over the world!

PHILOSOPHY

Treat everybody with respect. I will always give you the benefit of the doubt, and I am never quick to anger but quick to listen, be open minded, and learn as much as possible in my lifetime.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love giving a helping hand to whomever needs it, so please feel free to ask me for any help in learning the "lay of the land."

Intermixing new travelers with new friends and long-time members of our local Couch Surfing community is a key passion of mine; seeing the resulting "synergy" or positive connections form is always the most rewarding of experiences, and I am somewhat addicted to making these connections happen! Rather than have Couch Surfing be this "solo hostel" experience, why not create a global network of amazing individuals?

Together, we can make the world a better place to live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed in Australia before. I also travel to other places frequently when I'm dreaming.

Also, I have couch surfed in France, Toronto, NYC, Chicago, and Miami, FL, as well as Richmond, VA.

兴趣

Movies, biking, yoga, water sports / activities... you name it, and I love it :). But what I love to do most is meet new people... preferably outside and with a beer.

I love every kind of movie there is to see to be honest with you.

Some of my favorite movies have been:
- Older: Gladiator, Master & Commander, Lord of the Rings, The Grey, The Way Back, The Road to Perdition, Momento, etc.
- Newer: 10 Cloverfield Lane, Max Payne, Ex Machina, Hateful Eight, Inception, Intersteller, 12 Years a Slave, and many more :)

There's honestly too many to list. More recent TV shows that I recommend are: Happy Valley, The Fall, The Pickie Blinders, Halt & Catch Fire, Stranger Things, Vikings, Game of Thrones, etc.

Finally going to see some couch surfing friends of mine in France, Canada, and Spain.

I really love sharing experiences with new people and learning as much about them as possible. Making a connection with another human being is more rewarding than anything else. There is actually a tough and hidden downside to couch surfing: they eventually have to leave. CouchSurfers are amazing, and I haven't met a better group to learn from anywhere else.
