About Me

CURRENT MISSION
To learn as much about the world as I can (an overused cliche, I'm sorry!)
ABOUT ME
My best friends would say that I'm a very kind, loyal friend, who is very supportive. Also, they would say that I have a really funny sense of humor.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that life should be all about exploration and education. It's important to grow as a person, intellectually as well as emotionally. Without continuous self-growth, I think complacency settles in and ignorance becomes mistaken for wisdom.
Interests
Apart from traveling abroad, I enjoy cultural activities (e.g. visiting museums, eating ethnic food, attending cultural shows.) I also enjoy playing and watching sports, including american football, football (FC Barca and USMNT,)and basketball.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen many amazing things throughout my travels but the most amazing thing I've witnessed was outside my flat in Chicago. I was lucky to see in person President Obama give his acceptance speech in Grant Park. It was such an electric night. Arguably, the most positive point in American race relations.
Update: Attended the 2014 World Cup in Brasil with my GF. Maybe the best holiday ever!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have one condition: If you intend to use my flat, I expect (and appreciate) thoughtful email requests. My GF and I don't run CouchSurfing like a free motel.
I will not accept any request from surfers that are in Chicago primarily for Lease/Rental Activities, Shopping Excursions, Job-Related Activities or for Music festivals.
Also, you must be polite, which means having conversations with your hosts. If you intend to arrive, store your belongings at my flat, and then leave for the day without meeting my fiancee and me, then I am not the host for you.
Nina and I encourage exchanging CULTURE, which is my interpretation of couchsurfing. Again, we are NOT hostelworld.com.
