About Me

Aloha. My name is Jerome Bautista. World Travel is something I've always wanted to do. Back in 2020, I took a Vision Workshop and decided I wanted to become a Digital Nomad. With COVID and some personal struggles, that was quickly buried with life. Flash forward to 2022, all of a sudden my intuition was telling me to live that life I've always wanted. So here I am, embarking on a worldly adventure!

I grew up in San Diego, California of the United States. I've lived for over 16 years in the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. I loved it there honestly. Yet, I think Hawaii understands and will allow me to go and see the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here on Couchsurfing to find places to crash as I travel the world (I know, so self-serving!). However, you'll find I'm a very neat, respectful, and thoughtful guest. I have super good ratings on AirBnB. I like deep philosophical discussions, I love to cook and share recipes, I love pets, I can teach mindfulness and or yoga. Hopefully you'll find these things appealing if you decide to have me as a guest.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Lots...hip hop, R&B, jazz, pop, lofi, rock, reggae, Hawaiiana
Movies - Honestly, if it has a good rating on Netflix I am open to watching it
Books - Books on buddhism, poetry, fiction (Murakami), self-help

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One super cool thing I've done is do the trek all the way to the top of Mt. Fuji. It was on a whim, just asing an old college buddy if he was up for it. We didn't know what we were doing, just packing a few energy drinks, some gels, a few beers, and lots of naivety haha. We got to the top, super exhausted. My buddy got altitude sickness along the way (yikes!)... so the trek down was long. But we made a lifetime of memories up there! The beer at the top was delicious! The clouds up there were crazy! Seeing how elderly folks were lugging along oxygen tanks to get to the top was humbling. Just a remarkable experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I made a living as a facilitator, so I can teach a lot of things in regards to leadership, service, and sales. I do vision workshops. I am a life coach. I can teach mindfulness and yoga. I love to cook and share recipes, so that can be a nice trade as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I feel I can share a lot with hosts. Aside from just good conversation and information on what it's like to live in Hawaii... I can cook pretty well and teach recipes. I can teach mindfulness and yoga as well. There are probably other things I can share that can just come up through conversation.
