ABOUT ME

Howdy. I was born in the suburbs of Chicago, attended undergraduate university in St. Louis, Missouri, attended graduate school in Madison, Wisconsin, and returned to Chicago for work as a physical therapist in 2012. Between undergrad and grad school I spent 4.5 months backpacking in New Zealand. I've also spent 4 weeks on a physical therapy internship in Uganda, participated in a 1 week volunteer medical brigade in Honduras, and spent 2 months on another physical therapy internship on Navajo reservation in Arizona. I'm always eager to travel to new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not participated in couchsurfing before. However, in my current job I won't have many opportunities to travel, so I'm hoping to use this site as a means to help others to travel or meet like-minded travelers.

Interests

I am an avid runner and would consider myself above average at running. I also love tennis, bowling, lawn sports, and casual reading in bars and cafes. Generally I enjoy reading philosophy books and biograhies. I'm a recovering movie addict and will watch nearly any movie once.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work as a physical therapist and can teach stretching, strengthening, massage techniques, and body mechanics which may come in handy for backpackers.
