Hi there,

My name is Joyous, I’m a 28 year old educator, nomad, plant tender, mediator in training, musician, and nature/plant enthusiast. About 6 months ago I returned from a 10 month long trip living and traveling in Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil. Since then I've been living in California, but now I'm off on a journey again. Not exactly where all the paths will lead, but I enjoy following intuition and opportunities as they open up. That has led me to Hawaii for at least a few weeks!

I value building connections and community wherever I go, and I think that couchsurfing is a great way to build friendships, and to learn something deeper about the place where I visit. I hope someday to be able to host other travelers (whenever/if ever I am to settle down somewhere long enough:p).

Left all the comfort and security of a place I've lived and grounded into for years...to journey in countries outside of my own, to live life off the beaten path, and to open myself to the possibilities outside of having everything figured out and planned:)

I'm an aspiring herbalist and as such I sort of have a traveling apothecary with me featuring herbs I can use to heal basic ailments (happy to share about what I'm learning).

I have worked in vegetarian and vegan cafe's and love to cook-- I will cook you something yummy!

I can serenade you if i have my instrument (or you have a guitar) currently traveling without.
