CURRENT MISSION
....to bring into the world more than I take from it-
ABOUT ME
Hola Amigos! I feel most at home when I'm out in the world, meeting new people, sharing thoughts, exchanging ideas and customs. Experiences like these continue to add value my life.
We are traveling around the world for the next 8 months and know the only way to truly experience the culture of a place is to mix with the locals. We plan to make videos of all of the wonderful places we visit, capturing the beauty and uniqueness everywhere we go. We will do this with hopes of inspiring others to take the time to travel. In most places we will already have accommodation, but we still would like to meet up for a drink, a meal or a good conversation. We cannot wait to meet you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host, I surf, I share, I learn. I've taken a bit of a break from CS over the past few years, but it is time to get back into the mix. I've missed you!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted Ali and Anna, traveling musicians from Australia, March 07
Hosted Tobias from Munich, Germany Fall of 07
Hosted Yovel Johns, formerly from NYC, now from Seattle, October 07
Couchsurfed with Alex Costa Sole in Florence, Italy November 07
Couchsurfed with Chris Valvardi in Naples, Italy November 07
Hosted Jacob and Kirsty from Yorkshire via Wales in November of 2007 and coerced them into singing Karaoke at the Boxcar.
Hosted Jaiswal from the O.C. in December '07. We spent much of our time together conspiring on how to make a damn good music video and discussing the hazards of receiving a F.U.I. at the Catalina Airport.
Hosted Sage from the penninsula via Bangalore early 08
There are many more too. Just read my references :-)
What's next?....
Interests
In no particular order: TRAVEL (obviously), MUSIC of all kinds (I write music too.) You can hear a sample of my latest song here:

Also, photography/video, yoga, people, social gatherings, good local wines (particularly Spanish and Italian reds, but I love French, Aussie and New Zealand wines too. Even Hungarian wine is amazing. Have you tried Royal Tokaji?) and micro brews, spirituality, anything outdoors (with the exception of super extreme sports {even though Milazzo was able to talk me into jumping out of a plane in Australia, and Josh pushed me off the highest bridge in Africa with a bungee tied around my legs})...i'm probably leaving out some things, but that should cover it for now.

Music, Movies, and Books
FILM: Lost In Translation, La Grande Bellezza, Youth, Dead Poets Society, Food-Inc., Sexy Beast, Waking Life, American Beauty, Amores Perros, Motorcycle Diaries, Amelie, Point Break (cheesy I know, but it's a great 1980's film), and many others.
MUSIC: Majid Jordan, Chilly Gonzales, Nils Frahm, lots of local Seattle stuff. You'd be surprised how great the scene is here- Lara Veirs, The Physics, Damien Jurado, Fresh Espresso, Blue Scholars, Minus the Bear, Gabriel Teodros. And of course...we can't forget the old favorites- Elbow, Milosh, David Sylvian, Nine Horses, Tosca, Mt. Egypt, Grand National, Lhasa, Morissey, The Smiths, The Cure, etc.
BOOKS: Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain, Vagabonding by Rolf Potts, 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris, anything by Bill Bryson or Malcolm Gladwell, Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire by Deepak Chopra, Tao te Ching- Lao Tzu , Eat Pray Love- Liz Gilbert(even though it's a bit of a chick book, it inspired the hell out of me.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
*I have seen just how far 300Rand can go when bribing the Mozambiquan police not to throw me in jail for driving without my drivers license.
*Bunjee jumped off the Bloukrans Bridge in South Africa.
*Skydived in Sydney, Australia.
*Got married in Big Sur, California. If you have not visited Big Sur, this place should be on your bucket list!
Teach, Learn, Share
When you visit me I will teach you how to cut your own record on a Mac as well as to order your coffee the Seattle way, for example, "tall, extra hot, wet, 2% cappuccino with 3/4 of a Stevia in a grande cup."
I would like to learn to relax more often, and to just go with the flow as much as possible.
Also, I am interested in sustainable living/farming, so I've joined the WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) organization. It's a bit like CS, but in exchange for a bit of manual labor and an open mind, you get accommodation and education on organic farms around the world. I'm really looking forward to getting some experience with this, since my ultimate goal is to grow and/or raise most of the food I eat on a farm/garden of my own....and then to teach others how to do it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A great meal (yes, I can cook), a good conversation, a soft bed/tasty meal/and good wine when you come to my home town. I can also sing you a song! Just ask :-)
