I'm a social entrepreneur that loves to use multi-media digital and social media tools to help reach business and social impact goals while teaching others to do the same. I run a small digital business alongside my partner, based out of Houston, Texas and enjoy traveling and working remotely from anywhere in the world that has access to the internet. When I'm not "working" I spend my time reading, writing, hiking, watching documentaries, as well as documenting history as it unfolds through photos and video.

I decided to join Couchsurfing as an alternative option while looking for place to stay for an upcoming trip out of the country in which my partner will be working and I will have time to explore on my own as well as meet others with whom I may be able to work with in the future.

I love discovering new music from around the world and enjoy everything from hip hop to classical, boleros, afro cuban, big band era, old caribbean music, indigenous music and more.

I enjoy watching documentary films and movies based on true stories like: On the Way to School, The Two Popes, The Central Park Five, Suffragette, Hidden Figures and The King's Speech.

My favorite books to read are non-fiction books, specifically about business, companies, written by entrepreneurs or books based on historical data. Malcolm Gladwell is my favorite author to date. Some of my favorite titles include The Tipping Point, Outliers, David & Goliath, What the Dog Saw, Creativity, Inc, Leaving Microsoft to Change the World, Start Something that Matters and
Social Physics: How Good Ideas Spread— The Lessons from a New Science.

One amazing thing I've done is turned my wedding into a social impact project in which we asked our guests to donate books and purchase used books at our wedding in lieu of bringing us gifts so that instead of going on a typical honeymoon, we could deliver books and educational resources to children in remote parts of Colombia with little to no access to them. This project was the founding of what would become our social business.

I can share my experiences growing up in a small Texas town as a first generation American from a Colombian family among a community made up of 97% Caucasians. I can share my experiences working with small and large nonprofit organizations working to support immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers through supportive and non-supportive governmental administrations.

On a lighter note, I can share vegan/vegetarian recipes, social media tips and tricks, music and movie suggestions, insights on the power of introversion and understanding what that really means, my experiences working as part of the TEDxHouston production team and all things entrepreneurship and business idea/development related topics.
