ABOUT ME

Somehow, I'm still in this old house 30 years later. Kids have come and gone off again, so I have whole rooms to share for short periods of time. I'm in and out, doing my jobs and visiting my people, talking to the cat and weeding the garden (or shoveling snow).

I host when I can; so far, I haven't successfully found a couch; and I tell lots of people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A summer wandering through Quebec. Several solo cross-country hitch-hiking trips, a couple of cross-country car trips with stays at Quaker strangers'. Listed for a while in a homeschoolers' directory. Friends stay on my couch...my kids' friends...

I love taichi chuan. I love mindless weeding, and washing dishes. Running a hydro-electric plant, and working cooperatively--definitely interesting. Hearing people's stories--joy.
