ABOUT ME

I'm from way down south in Louisiana, heart of the cajun culture. We love good food and friendly faces! I'm very easy-going. Typically avoid arguments, but I don't mind a healthy debate. I love to listen and learn. I just finished my masters degree in applied physics. I love philosophy and performing arts as well. To explain the languages: my French is very good but I don't consider myself fluent, and I've only started studying Arabic so I know a few phrases and the alphabet. I used to use sign language much more but I've forgotten quite a bit :( vraiment triste.

PHILOSOPHY

Well, I wrote this a while ago, but it's all still true. "I'm one of many. The more I see, the smaller I feel; the more I am impressed with the network of human society, the immensity of all that goes on around us while we have no clue what is happening. I wonder how small our perceptions can be. And then I try to figure out a way to experience as much of all that is around me as I can. I run, I swim, I ride, I sing, I think, I play. I play piano, I play nintendo, I play outside. I get things done, take charge when I have to. My regrets are few. I like word games. I like school. You've probably seen me singing my lungs out while we were stopped at a red light. You've probably seen me zoned out, humming to myself, and thinking while walking down Rex street. I like barefeet, I love my Volvo, I like the rain, I love the clouds. I could eat cereal almost every day. I like the way the sun looks through the trees. I believe everyone should keep a journal, if only a small one. I believe everyone should volunteer. I love the mountains, snowskiiing, snowboarding. I like the city, the culture, the faces, the different, the usual. I love people. I love hugs, sand between my toes, sitting around with guitars and drums singing and improvising, all the little things that make life the incredible journey that it is. I don't have time for anything because I make time for everything, but I wouldn't have it any other way." - ME

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled Canada sleeping in a tent, a car, on a ferry, or in houses/apartments of friends that I made at a french immersion program! It was a blast! I couchsurfed Italy with 3 hosts from couchsurfing and it was an awesome experience! I've now hosted multiple times and they've all been great!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spontaneously decided to not take my flight home from Canada and travel instead for 17 days with a new friend of 3 weeks. We covered five provinces and had one of the most incredible journeys of my life.
