Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
Join the navy and see the world ... ok, no navy, just see the world
ABOUT ME
I lived most of my life in Porto, Portugal.
2 years ago I went to the beautiful city of Leiden in Netherlands to do my masters and now, thanks to that experience (which I only expected to increase my awareness in non scientific areas :D) I'm doing my PhD in Lisbon.
For the past 3/4 years I've been traveling all around Europe thanks to BEST, a student organization I've joined. That made the travels quite more interesting since I hate to just stay at an hostel and meet none or very few people (although in Sofia and Krakow I had a crazy time with some people I've met in my situation).
That's why couch surfing looks perfect, it's a bit what I did before, hosting people and show them our culture and those small things in our city that only the locals get to know and making friend across Europe (now the world I hope), going abroad and get the same in return.
And instead of the appetite for new places subsiding I think it's only increasing more and more each time I travel.
PHILOSOPHY
Live fast ... but try to live long if that doesn't ago against the 1st rule.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I've joined some months ago, but only now, in this sort of vacations I'm in I got the time to really check CS.
Some room got free at my flat so I though it was a good time to start hosting someone.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Well, I've been in many different places, but the one that I always liked more, is of a friend couple I have in Madrid. No matter when I had to sleep in mattress on the floor or in a bed there it was always perfect ... in the end what counts is the people.
Intereses
Music (any kind as long as it has good taste ... no Britney Spears and the likes please), Astronomy (my area), Photography (well, I like it ... it doesn't mean I'm good at it), Traveling (of course)

Algo increíble que he hecho
Well, not amazing but crazy was to be kidnapped for some minutes by a taxi driver in Sofia, Bulgaria when I refused to leave the taxi until the guy gave me the correct change for the payment I just gave to him ... after some taxi rides we all got fed up of them trying to steal us money everytime :)
