Why I’m on Couchsurfing
How I participate in Couchsurfing:
Well; If I am living I have to enjoy it. Sometimes you realize that you only live once, so I like to share with my friends, they know they are welcome to my house and buy some beers, make popcorns and speak all kind of stupid and interesting things.
My city San Juan de Pasto has too much to offer. It is so comfortable, so beautiful, I love it. It will be a pleasure to share my hometown
Couchsurfing experiences:
Lucas the Canadian traveler now one of my bros... was living with us for two months (crazy). My family enjoyed learning about this new kind of experiences hosting travelers.
Last 4 years I have been traveling because of the University, so it was difficult to receive new hosts. This year 2017 I will be more available.
Now I am building my new adventures in 2019. Each year means for me new and bigger challenges...the opportunity to grow up and keep always learning.
Interests
As a researcher actually I want to contribute to the formation process of the students at the University of Nariño.
Always to keep moving. Activities like sports make me get free of stressful moments. A good conversation always enriches moments and life.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kind of music (rock, country, vallenatos, salsa...).
I like to read articles about science especially about ecology, plants, bees, and human evolution.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a Biologist, I have the experience to present different researches in international congress in different parts of the world; making friends and always learning. On 2016 I had the opportunity to talk to Dr. Barry Marshal who with his colleague Dr. Robin Warren discovered the bacteria Helicobacter pylori. Dr. Barry Marshall drank a Petri dish containing cultured H. pylori to test their hypothesis!!! They were awarded with The Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 2005.
As a student of Biology, I had been working with insects, plants, microorganisms, and animals like birds, amphibians and mammals. mmm...when I was in the jungle with my partners we catch birds and reptiles and frogs to study and after all measures; we let them go.
Teach, Learn, Share
learn languages; share my culture and experience of life; listen to other experiences, eat and ice cream and always have a good time!
