ABOUT ME

My name is Jason and I'm originally from California but working and living in Dubai now. I'm a full time coach/teacher at an international school here which takes up a lot of my time but spend the rest of my time playing sports/being a beach bum/surfer/diver/and of course travel addict. I'm laid back and chill, and have spent the last 15 years living around the world from: Europe, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Myanmar and now the UAE. Love meeting new and interesting people everyday. I'm sorry if it takes me awhile to respond to any CS requests. On average I get more then 30+ requests a week, so be patient :), I can't get back to everybody right away and still have a life. But I try to host as many and as often as I can...

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy the Journey... Just relax, don't worry about having enough money, or what will happen next, or planning out your travels hour by hour and day by day, or knowing people where you're going. The best parts of your travels will be the ones you didn't plan and are the ones you will never forget.

Hoping to meet some cool people to travel with/ stay with and host while I'm here in Yangon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started off just staying with people that I had met through friends. But started CouchSurfing before it really even became popular. I traveled around the US and World staying with friends or just people I had met. I've stayed with people in Europe, Australia, USA, and New Zealand. I've have hosted in Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and Myanmar.

If I've learned one thing, it's to quit worrying about stupid things! We only have a small time in our life to be irresponsible, young and free. Work is for people with jobs. You'll never remember the days and weeks at work or in class, but you'll never forget the times you wasted hanging out with your friends. So stay out late, go out with your friends on a Tuesday when you have to work early Wednesday morning. Spend money you don't have. Drink 'til sunrise. The work never ends, but life does...
