ABOUT ME
Hi! My name's Jeff Castro. I'm a 22 year old professional pilot for a small airline that flies between the Northern Mariana Islands and Guam. I've been living on Saipan since August of 2013 and it has been a nonstop adventure since!
While I was in college, I worked for Delta Airlines in Omaha, Nebraska, and was fortunate enough to be able to travel at will. I travelled a lot for soccer. As a die hard USA fan, I travelled to the domestic games as well as foreign countries for their away games. Most memorable away game so far? USA vs. Mexico at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.
PHILOSOPHY
There is no better way to see the world than through the game that unites us all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined CS years ago and used it for surfing, since no one travels to Omaha, Nebraska. Now that I live in a tourist hotspot, I want to pay back the CS community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed various couches around the world.
Interests
I am a big sports fanatic. My biggest passion is the United States national soccer team. I have not missed a game since I was ten years old; I have been there for over ten years riding the emotional roller coaster American soccer has to offer. My US soccer passion is closely followed by the Nebraska Huskers football team. I grew up in Nebraska, watching the Cornhuskers while playing for a Nebraska High School football team whose philosophy was based off of Nebraska football. It is safe to say that I am in love with both the US football team and the Nebraska football team. Both footballs, I am a part of.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I piloted a Cessna 172 with a friend from Galena Alaska all the way through the Yukon and other parts of Canada to Lincoln Nebraska. We were forced to navigate across the continent using a map and our eyes while avoiding ice, oxygen deficiencies, thunderstorms, and mountainsides.
Teach, Learn, Share
I skipped a lot of my social study classes during school. I didn't like the idea of studying cultures from a book when we have couchsurfing and modes of transportation. I am not willing to learn everything about other countries and cultures from a book in the United States. I want to experience it first hand.
Take control of your life, control your own fate.
