About Me
++Frequently traveling, not in Berlin right now++
— Reach out if you want to explore Berlin nightlife. —
Hi world, I’m Jan, 29, German (probably already more cosmopolitan). The 5 years before Covid I lived in different countries, studying and working. I have a business mind and gipsy soul.
My favorite city is Buenos Aires. Please include this in your request to show you have read my profile at least until here. That being said, personalized requests go a long way.
CURRENT MISSION
Building a location independent life while traveling lesser visited countries. Meet locals, hear their stories, seek understanding.
PHILOSOPHY
What goes around comes back around.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The people! I travel to get to know the local culture and meeting local people is the best way to experience it.
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
- I mostly host
- sometimes I surfe
- while traveling I like to organize CS events or link up on hang out to meet local CS
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ever since I surfed and hosted a lot outside of Couchsurfing. Mainly via my network of friends from around the world. However my first 'real' CS experience was during the WC 2014 in Brazil. The hospitality we encountered while CS in Brazil was something truly remarkable and our hosts became real friends. In 2020 I got invited back to Brazil for the wedding of my first CS host. A fantastic story and a real homage to what I believe CS is all about - connecting people.
Interests
As most people here - traveling and meeting new people as well as getting in touch with different cultures. Moreover I’m interested in almost any sport. I’m always up for a chilled drink or a decent party (mostly techno) and really enjoy meaningful conversations as well as new experiences.
