About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live an honest and peaceful life

ABOUT ME

My family worked for the military so we saw new places and hopped onto a plane to another destination before getting settled. As of August 2013 I lived under the same roof for more than 3 years and even though it is home for now, it still feels like home is somewhere new and refreshing.

I'm about as nerdy as a typical engineer but I love to laugh and appreciate the arts. I have a new found adoration for theater and all the bits and pieces that make a show happen - I have the most fun sharing the experience with good company!

I tend to work more than play, but I am making an effort to achieve a balance. It would be my pleasure to share the road with anyone who would like to join me for a short stroll or the long haul.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only surfed once so far and it was one of the most inspirational moments of my life. I hosted when I could when I was in college, but now I am here for the fellowship of the adventurous souls in the world who seek more of the human connection element in their travels.

Interests

Culture, artifacts and live performances from bands to stage and musicals. The stage and musicals are a more recent interest that has been a growing hobby - I bring a notebook to each performance to jot down any and all curious details about sets, production, and even the venue itself. It's all new and fascinating and I'm loving it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love anything starring Jonathan Groff.
I opened up to a lot of music in college following the hipster groove, but nowadays anything goes. Especially showtunes.
David Sedaris is one of my favorite authors and I had the most fun reading "The Selected Works of T. S. Spivet".

Teach, Learn, Share

If you lead, I will do my best to keep the same stride.

Theater is new territory to my life experience and I am thoroughly enjoying all it has to offer. I am most excited to learn anything about stage productions and prop/set development, but really I want to absorb as much as I can about everything that it takes to present a production.
